Языковое мероприятие в пришкольном лагере.
- To begin with, let’s remember what people say about their home. There are different sayings and proverbs in Russian and in English. What can you remember in Russian?
- Now we would like you to match Russian and English proverbs.
- There are different rooms in the house. Let’s speak about a kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. (3 teams) I shall name the furnishings. Each team repeats the furnishings belonging to their room. (The teacher names the furnishings at random order.)
- Possible words: Kitchen– sink, stool, cooker, fridge, kitchen table, dish washer, mixer, cupboard. Bathroom – washbasin, shower, mat, mirror, shower curtain, toilet tissue, towel, bath.Living room – chandelier, couch, music centre, TV set, carpet, arm-chair, pillow, book shelf.
- We can describe a house using different words. Let’s learn some adjectives: ancient, brand new, cosy, fashionable, huge, haunted, luxurious, shabby, tiny.
- Pick one of the buildings: a hut, an inn, a mansion. (3 teams) Choose 3 adjectives and draw your building.
- Speak about your picture. Only correct sentences are counted. (3 teams)
